| Mark and Dee met
as musicians in 1981, and have been playing together since then. Dee is,
without any doubt, the driving force behind the band. They have played acoustic
and electric, from Amagansett to Manhattan and enjoy interacting with other
musicians, and welcome opportunities to assist them in performing their
music.
Mark began playing in 1974 in various cover bands, gravitating towards The Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers because of the freedom of playing this allowed. Dee began playing in 1980, teaching herself guitar by writing songs and counts Adrian Belew, Jeff Beck, and Gary Moore as influences many would recognize, as well as Jim Manone, formerly of the rock/funk band Disturbed, with whom she took lessons for over a year. The music of Fleetwood Mac and Rod Stewart compelled Victoria Liotta to begin drum instruction in 1980. She joined a cover band at Villanova U in 1983, and formed the original band "A Thousand Years" with fellow Villanovans in 1986, performing in Philadelphia. Relocating to Atlanta in 1992, she performed and recorded a CD with "Dew." In 1999, seeking to perfect her craft, Vicky entered The Drummers' Collective, and graduated after 10 weeks of intensive study. This inspired her to seek a new challenge, which, fortunately, is us! |
