| SUBMITTING MATERIAL TO AURAL FIX
So you want to get reviewed in AURAL FIX? get
in line! No really, we mean it. Send it in and we'll put you in the cue.
We don't pay our reviewers, so needless to say they move slower
than union workers on a hot summer day... No, don't email us asking for permission - just mail the friggin
press kit in. (that means a letter introducing yourselves, a bio
of what your all about, and a 2 clean copies of your cd). Why 2?
1 for the publisher who happens to produce a Saturday webcast on
webradiowcwp.org and book shows on Long Island, and one to pass
off to a minion for reviewing. And no, don't email us if we've received it or when it's going
to be printed or posted online - keep picking up the print edition
and keep logging onto the site and one day you may be pleasantly
surprised. yeah, we're pricks - get over it. Send general genres to: Mike Ferrari, the publisher(who will pass it off to the appropriate minion)

SUBMITTING ARTICLES TO AURAL FIX So you want to write for AURAL FIX? Join the few, the proud, the
drunk... Submit your articles via email at auralfix@optonline.net
by the 20th of the month for consideration. Remember the focus of this publication is LOCAL ARTISTS from the
Long Island Region... please save the Metallica and 50 Cent articles
for the commercial rags. (if your an indie label with artists touring through our region
              - get in touch with us though) Will we print them? Well if we like them and they are well written,
sure why not? We are not journalistic snobs here. But be forewarned
any blatant stroking of a band will not be tolerated. For reviews of CD's and GIGs we want to know WHY someone would
want to hear / see this artist (not how great they are). WHAT is
unique about them? What kind of originality are they offering? Are
they professional? Do they have image and presence (yeah - it matters...). No, don't email us asking for permission, just
send it! due to space restrictions we print whatever we
can, if we can't squeeze in the print edition we will try to get
it online. If you want credit for school, have your learning institution email
              us at auralfix@optonline.net.
